 Sell yourself but don't sell yourself short. I say it all the time, the cleaning industry is not just cleaning toilets, it's affecting people's lives. Whether it's helping a working family have a clean home or an office stay ahead of the dirt and germs, you have to sell the service you are offering, not just the act of cleaning. You want to give the feeling of relaxation, the feeling of relief, the feeling of joy to your clients. Seeing dirt gone is easy but feeling of the relief of not worrying about cleaning is priceless. Feelings are not tangible, but they are powerful! When you love the business you run, your work will show through, and your clients will appreciate it. Ya know when a pillow goes from clean white to yellow, orange, brown weird spots and looks so nasty and dirty? Let's talk! I have changed many beds in my lifetime at home and with my cleaning business, and I'm always amazed when I see pillows with no waterproof pillow protectors. Especially if the pillows are used on beds for short term rentals/Airbnb's. I can't imagine the number of germs that are resting on the pillows, ready to get onto the next guest. Gross! Pillows get dirty due to body oils, drool, dead skin cells, bodily fluids, dust mite, hair products and so much more. Even with a pillowcase, they can still turn yellow or yucky orange. They're also very bulky and hard to throw into a washing machine and dryer. Pillowcases are made from thinner, more breathable materials, where waterproof pillowcase protectors provide better protection and keep pillows clean longer. Pillowcase protectors can also help prevent dust mites on your pillow and allergens as well. You can wash pillowcases routinely and leave the pillowcase protector on the pillow for a longer time than a pillowcase. I would highly suggest investing in waterproof pillow protectors.
